Summer Hiking Safety Tips

Cincinnati hiking expert and author Tammy York shared with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital some tips for staying safe while out on the trail with the family this summer. From carrying enough water (at least 6 oz/person/mile) and DEET-free protection from insects/critters to tips on how to keep the kids from bickering on the trail, Tammy urges us to, “Have a great time on the trails and share your experience with the rest of us. You just might be the one who encourages someone else to get outside and enjoy a hike!”
